Politics is often presented as a struggle for power or an exchange of accusations between rival parties, while its true essence is forgotten: managing people’s affairs and improving their living conditions.
For Syrian citizens, politics is no longer an abstract concept. It has become directly linked to the price of bread, access to electricity, job opportunities, the quality of education, and public safety.
Any political discourse that ignores these realities loses its social meaning and turns into debate detached from everyday life.
What Syrians need today is a form of politics that recognizes dignity begins with fair public services, equal application of the law, and institutions that serve the people rather than dominate them.
