The growing signs of public anger and social tension emerging in several Syrian regions must not be ignored or underestimated.

We emphasize that preserving national stability requires serious engagement with citizens’ concerns and meaningful efforts to address the issues that have become a source of widespread public frustration.
We further warn that continued neglect of economic hardships, administrative grievances, and demands related to justice and accountability may lead to a wider wave of protests and an escalation of social unrest.
We therefore call upon the relevant authorities to:
- Establish direct and effective channels of communication with citizens.
- Address complaints related to corruption, favoritism, and abuse of authority.
- Strengthen transparency and accountability within public institutions.
- Holding regime figures and past criminals accountable, refraining from recycling them, and not ignoring the sentiments of the people.
- Prioritize justice, equal opportunity, and improvements in living conditions.
True stability cannot be achieved by silencing angry voices. It can only be achieved by addressing the underlying causes of public anger.
Responding early to legitimate public concerns is far less costly than waiting for tensions and crises to deepen.
Ignoring warning signs does not eliminate them. It only increases the risk that frustration will grow into a broader challenge affecting social cohesion and national stability.
The responsibility of any state is not merely to maintain order, but to preserve the trust of its citizens. Public trust remains the strongest foundation upon which lasting stability can be built.
